Special Campaign Announcement

June 2, 2016

We are delighted to announce that Soaring Beyond: The Campaign for TFS can be described as a truly historic success, as it has now surpassed the original $9 million goal to reach $10.2 million!

They sometimes say that it can take a village to raise a child and it would also be true to state that it takes a whole community to build a school. With more than 3,000 gifts along with invaluable contributions of volunteer time and talent, the generosity shown by the TFS community is unprecedented, for which we are deeply grateful. Thanks to all campaign supporters and volunteers, priorities and plans identified when the campaign was launched just two years ago are fast becoming realities across TFS:

• Our students, at every age, will have a Learning Forum space specifically dedicated to support their unique learning needs. It is a place where they will always find help and a hub where they can learn together.

• Our students will gain more opportunities to nurture their full selves, thanks to the enriched academic, artistic and athletic programming across all branches — and Program Enrichment will continue to be a priority of the school through annual giving.

• Our students will thrive in an inclusive environment, with talented peers who will inspire them to view the world from many perspectives, thanks also to the Entrance Scholarship program. With ongoing support, this program will enable TFS to welcome bright young minds of different backgrounds for decades to come.

We are still in the process of receiving gifts before the campaign officially closes at the end of June, and therefore we will provide a final total in the fall. We eagerly anticipate next year’s campaign celebrations and unveilings, which will provide plenty of opportunities to express appreciation to one and all. In the meantime, please feel free to visit the Soaring Beyond station at Kermesse on June 4 to enjoy some campaign celebratory fun.

On behalf of everyone at TFS, our deepest thanks and gratitude are extended to the Soaring Beyond Campaign Cabinet as well as every campaign supporter and volunteer for embracing important projects that will benefit our students and our school for years to come.

Yours sincerely,

Dr. Josep González
