Exciting Progress and the Challenge Ahead

June 18, 2015

As summer arrives, we can celebrate an amazing year for the Soaring Beyond/En plein essor campaign. This spring, we passed the $7.5 million mark on our way to our ultimate goal of $9 million. This impressive achievement has been made possible through the leadership and passion of TFS families. Thank you all for your vision and generosity. By making your gift and encouraging others to do so, you have energized the campaign and the school.

We can also turn our attention to the most challenging phase of all – the final push to achieve our goal. It’s exciting to be so close to the end! Together, we will get there.

With a solid base of funding in place, we can now turn our attention to the projects that remain: the launch of the Entrance Scholarships program and program enrichment initiatives and the renovations to establish the Senior School Learning Forum. For these initiatives to move forward, we need to meet our overall goal within the next year.

Can we do it? Absolutely! This is TFS, after all. I’ve never met a more determined and creative group of people than I see in this wonderful community.

My husband Phil and I know from personal experience, that a TFS education makes the transition to university easy. Our daughter Lauren ’14 just completed her first year at Babson College outside of Boston, Massachusetts and was extremely well-prepared. Our major gifts to the Scholarship Fund and the Learning Forum were inspired by our daughter’s success and by our desire to deepen the educational experience at TFS for all students.

We invite you to join our effort.

I am proud of what our community has accomplished so far. Working together, we are helping TFS to grow beyond expectations and to become an exceptional 21st century learning environment. With your continued support, our future graduates will have the confidence and skills they need to forge their own unique path in this complex and changing world.

I look forward to working with you to reach the end of our remarkable journey. I hope you will reach out to let us know how you can help TFS and your children soar beyond.

On behalf of the cabinet, staff and volunteers who are coordinating the campaign, I want to thank you for your ongoing support and wish you a restful and enjoyable summer with your families.

Sincerely,

Sherry Evershed
