Honorary Co-Chairs

Arthur and Sonia Labatt

Arthur and Sonia Labatt have a long history with TFS. Their three children attended TFS and four of their grandchildren have either attended the school or are currently enrolled. Arthur also served as a member of the school's Board of Directors for several years in the 1970s. When TFS launched the Building on Excellence campaign in 2001, Arthur and Sonia contributed the largest gift in the school's history and helped transform TFS into the school it is today. Their list of personal and professional accomplishments is outstanding. As co-founder and past president of Trimark Investment Management Inc., Arthur had an illustrious career. He is a past chancellor of the University of Western Ontario and, in 1996 he became an Officer of the Order of Canada. Sonia holds a PhD in environmental management from the University of Toronto and is an adjunct faculty member with the Centre for Environment.

"TFS holds a special place for our family. Over the years, we have seen TFS evolve into the exceptional school it is today and we feel privileged to have helped advance its vision. As Honorary Co-Chairs for Soaring Beyond, it is our great pleasure to thank everyone for embracing the campaign priorities to help ensure that students continue to receive an outstanding education for years to come."

Bill Webb and Agnes Wong

Current Junior School parents at our Toronto campus, Bill Webb and Agnes Wong have demonstrated exceptional commitment and support since joining TFS in 2006. In addition to their annual giving, this year Bill stepped forward to join the Campaign Cabinet and, as a family, Bill and Agnes made a significant leadership gift to the campaign. In addition to being actively involved in broader community activities, both are leaders in their respective fields. Bill is the Executive Vice-President and Chief Investment Officer at Gluskin Sheff + Associates Inc., and Agnes is the Chief Ophthalmologist at the Hospital for Sick Children and holds a number of academic fellowships at the University of Toronto.

"TFS is like a member of our extended family and there is no worthier investment than our children’s school environment. We invested in Soaring Beyond because we wanted to ensure they have the very best educational experience. It has been an honour to be part of the campaign leadership, helping to take the school to the next level of academic excellence. The generosity of our community has been simply outstanding and it is a pleasure to extend our deepest appreciation to one and all."
